Find Your Gift!

The wife and I were talking a little bit ago, and I said that she had given me an idea for tonights post, to do with the Illuminati, and Heinleins “Foundation” series, and the Hopi Indian tribe, and their “ant men” that kept them alive through the last flood, and the archaelogical evidence that the pyramids are 73,000 years old not 12 and she looked at me like “WTF?”

This gave me pause. Then she said “we don’t all have the same interests”, and I said education should be broader and imagination should be encouraged. And then a realization epiphanized upon me!

SHE kicks my ass in IT. She has this incredible gift in that sphere. The dudes with the degrees come to her at her office to have HER help THEM figure shit out. She has the odd class, she gets a program to sort out, she picks up a book, reads it, figures it out, and takes the lead in her IT section. THAT is HER gift. I gather information from here and there, analyze it, expand on it, and give concepts, theories, and so on. She takes these programs, analyzes them, and fixes BIG ass problems in her IT section. I’d be so lost I’d never find my way out, and I was an avionics technician once upon a time!

So the point here tonight kids, you have some gift. I don’t know what your gift IS, but you’ve got one. Find it, learn it, use it to excel!
