Indeed.
A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.— George Washington“Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? It is feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American. …[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”
–A Pennsylvanian, The Pennsylvania Gazette, 20 February 1788
“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretence, raised in the United States.”
–Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, 10 October 1787
“To suppose arms in the hands of citizens, to be used at individual discretion, except in private self-defense, or by partial orders of towns, counties or districts of a state, is to demolish every constitution, and lay the laws prostrate, so that liberty can be enjoyed by no man; it is a dissolution of the government. The fundamental law of the militia is, that it be created, directed and commanded by the laws, and ever for the support of the laws.”
–John Adams, A Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America, 1787-1788
Why do I quote those?
And this came in an email:
PLEASE FORWARD THIS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT CARES ABOUT GUN RIGHTS.
The day many of you thought would come finally has. Eric Holder (Attorney General), on February 25th, stated that the Obama administration would be pushing for a new and permanent assault weapons ban. I’ll let the liars/politicians state it in their own words.
“I think closing the gun show loophole, the banning of cop-killer bullets and I also think that making the assault weapons ban permanent, would be something that would be permitted under Heller,” Holder said.
“I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a minimum,” Holder said. Personal comment: WTF!? Banning guns in America to stem the flow of illegal arms to Mexico? WTF???
“As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons,” Holder told reporters.
OK…so now what? Well now it is war. It is time to be vigilant. It is time to organize. It is time to keep up to date and remain informed of our new President’s policies. We’ll do our best to keep you up to date with a section on our sites that we’ll create soon. These people are not interested in facts. They are only interested in their agenda.
Keep in mind that over the last several months, many people have been buying these type of weapons in preparation for just this day. Many of the manufacturers are WAY behind so your selection may not be the best right now, but we update the page below as often as we get new products in.
