Sarah Palin For President 2012

Macleans.ca has a very interesting article! Oh hell yes, they describe her to a T without even realizing they’re doing so!

To do this, she must gradually reduce her exposure and begin to educate herself on the issues. She will not be ready for 2012 by remaining governor of Alaska and playing the celebrity. The GOP has too proud a tradition to have a re-run of the 2008 vice-presidential candidate. Also, the base Palin relies on for support no longer holds the sway it once did. Social conservatism is losing steam as a political movement thanks to the dubious habits of people like Gingrich, Ensign and Sanford, and the election of an African-American president as well as the increased attention paid to gay rights issues shows that Americans have begun to cast their old divisions aside. The future for the GOP lies with fiscal conservatism and strong national security policy—not with turning back the clock. Palin must embrace the values that created the Republican party in the first place—a belief in the individual, a belief in a limited role for the state, and a commitment to equality. The party of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Eisenhower, and (the pragmatic version of) Reagan is the path to a Republican resurgence. Palin is nowhere on that radar. She is all about celebrity status and controversy. (Uhm, no actually. Not her fault she continues to draw fire, she just really wants to get on with her job.)

Go read it. Pretty good actually. They don’t quite see what we see, but they know we’d be better off by far with a real by God conservative government.

Ok…maybe I’m just tired, stressed and PMSing to the max, but I’m beginning to feel like we’re being led around by the nose about Sarah. Not by her per say…but something or someone is pulling some strings that makes me feel that this is a McCain redux in reverse….offer us the one we want right off the bat, and let Palin fatigue set in so that we just dump her for someone else. I don’t know…sounds dumb, but I just get an uncomfortable feeling about her running.

Maybe I just need a couple of good shots of Hornitos.

What the media doesn’t realize is that the more they pound at her, the more of us on the right are going to think she MUST be good or they wouldn’t be so damn scared of her.

THERE would be a pair! But we need a Congress and a SCOTUS that will work for us, not themselves or the leftist agenda.
