Found some cool statistics at CFP

Like, for example, how the massive increase in gun sales has triggered a dramatic decline in murder. They got this from the Second Amendment Foundation, mind you. Amazing how one hears of things from unusual sources, yes?

A ten percent drop in murders during the first six months of this year at a time when gun sales were up dramatically is more proof that there is no correlation between gun ownership and violent crime, the Second Amendment Foundation said today.

The FBI released data Monday that shows murders dropped by 10 percent from the same period in 2008. Meanwhile, according to data released by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) shows that during the first six months of this year, gun sales were up. January 2009 background checks rose 28.8 percent over the same month in 2008, February’s NICS checks were up 23.3 percent and in March they were up 29.9 percent over March 2008. The trend continued in April, with NICS checks up 30.3 percent, while May showed a slowdown, up only 15.5 percent, and in June they were up 18.1 percent.

There’s more, but that is the core.

And how did we get here? This might give some insight.

Hypocrisy or sabotage? Yesterday’s Hippies said that they loathed violence, but they were some of the greatest advocates of violence. From purse-snatch rip-offs (which gave rise to the term “rip-off” in the American lexicon) to campus bombings to tasteless education content and art content in America’s most intimate corners of privacy, expression and self-determination, the Hippies endure with the bitterness of an unloved child. They were unloved when they ran away from home, they are still unloved and always will be. This explains why the most dangerous are often well-off and not poverty-stricken at all. An unseen dynamic motivates them.

That wasn’t the peak of it, but it does show the taste. Like a “sweet jalapeno”. Until the fire builds from it on your tongue.

It’s time to end Political Correctness as a thought control that is incompatible with liberty and national security. It is now costing us lives in interfering with our better judgment at the law enforcement level, national security level, and even with higher education. It undermines the better judgment of Americans who are not Hippies, the people who make the country work.

And then, to those of us who know better, there’s this one that would piss off the Pope.

“Mayor Daley is deplorably capitalizing on the outrage at Fort Hood to push his gun prohibition agenda,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “This is the height of moral bankruptcy from a man whose administration was sued Wednesday morning by the Chicago inspector general over apparent interference with an investigation into possible wrongdoing by current and former city employees.”

On Monday, Daley reacted to the Fort Hood shooting by telling reporters, “Unfortunately, America loves Guns. We love guns to a point where that, uh, we see devastation on a daily basis. You don’t blame a group.”

And, on that note, it’s time to wash down my pills with a beer. How do these idiots remember to breathe? How can these Yankee politicians possibly find logic in the shit they spout? Oh, wait. I remember now. The simple fact that to control a people you must first disarm it. To train a people to believe that your car can run on fairy farts, you must drill them. Drill them in publik skrewls long enough, they’ll believe any silly shit, and you’re in control.

To be passed on. Yeah, I think I picked up some guns since the election……three if memory serves me correctly….so far.

Good plan. Don’t forget ammo, First Aid gear, food, and water. Canned meals, stews and such, have a ridiculous shelf life for example. 10 year old Dinty Moore tastes much the same. Sterno lasts forever, as do magnesium fire starters and wood. Canned food and bottled water. Maybe not as portable as MREs, but a helluva lot cheaper.
