Right. My initial plan for this mornings post was this,
About how you can tell when ObaMao is lying. No matter what the fuck his teleprompter reading ass spouts, it’s bullshit. He’s going off on all this spending freeze stuff in the SOTU Address, all about trying to fix America through conscientious control of the money, blah, blah, woof, woof. But then you look at this little snippet about how he’s trying to get the “Council of Governors” to hand over the National Guard units for such things as “suppressing insurrection”.
That was my plan. I do suggest you read it, and if you’re a blogger, use it. If you’re NOT a blogger, cut/paste and distribute it. Something really reeks about that, and I’ll bet you figure it out as fast as I did. But I need to take my medications, and wash them down with alcohol even thinking of what that means to “We The People”.
Rather than dwell on that, and either destroy my keyboard and have a heart attack, I thought I’d switch to something a bit more pleasant. Personalization and perfection of the tools that may be required to rectify that potential upcoming problem. (Damn! Didn’t know how I was going to segue that, That wasn’t too bad!)
As some, if not all, of you know, I’m a 1911 man. That gift to man from God through his prophet, John MOSES Browning. And one of the greatest shops ever to arise, and not as well known as they should be. The cognoscenti know him. The major manufacturers consult him. He FIXES stuff from the best known ‘smiths, and they get all bootie hurt that he makes their shit work better than when they sent it to him to look at! Bob Cogan @ Accurate Plating and Weaponry.
Where in The Hell did that shift come from, I hear you ask? I’ve got a stainless 1911, that I had heard of a finish I wanted to make it two-tone, that I had left a message with this shop about possibly performing. One of his staff, Jason, called me back this morning to answer my question. We chatted for a while, describing the various results they had had with the finish I thought I had discovered to be the answer to what I wanted. Then Bob, the boss, walked in and Jason handed me to him. And we spent the best part of the next hour discussing the pro’s and con’s of this versus that, old “war stories”, etc. Simply enough, when I’ve got the money, he’s got my business.
