Fucking. AWESOME! This is an idea whose time has way the fuck well past time come!
No, I won’t clip from it. But I will say that it is just exactly what has been needed for multiple generations, and if incorporated, is the main reason why NO application for the position of POTUS should not have on its resume’ “retired military”. Or for that matter any member of Congress.
They, of all the people in this nation, should know this.

Went and read same. Left a comment. Will have to add his blog to the rolls. (Us retired Squids have to stick together ya know.) Not a bad Idea at all. I would add that say, five to ten years after implementation, we take the next step, of following Heinlein’s “Starship Troopers” scenario. Allowing only those who have served to have the exclusive rights to the franchise to vote/become any sort of elected official. With every other Constitutional right/guarantee still applicable to the American citizenry “at large”.
Sounds exactly like what I would have said. In fact, it was.
