Fuck Seagrams 7. What other Canadian Whiskey has a song about it?Especially such a fucking good one?

There was one Canadian Whiskey that had a whole band named after it, and a ‘Big Band’ at that. — Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians.

Most famous for Auld Lang Syne. their recording of that song even today still plays as the first song of the new year in Times Square.

Wiki notes that ” Lombardo was also an important figure in hydroplane racing, winning the Gold Cup in 1946 and the Ford Memorial competition in 1948. And above all he was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2007.”

Royal Canadian was my grandmother’s favorite. kept her going well into her nineties. I still take a sip now and again in remembrance.
