Wonder just how long Sestak will continue to breath?

05/28/2010

I’m sure you’ve been watching Hannity, and Van Susteren, and Fox News in general? This Tammany Hall Chicago politics bullshit. The violations of the USC’s. Tonight is HOT at Fox.

Oorah!

And these are lawyers?

I live in PA so defeating this slime ball Sestak is job one. The only difference between this guy is Sestak didn’t change parties to try and be re-elected. He apparently got bounced from the Navy for being a lot like Arlen Specter, a nasty SOB who thought he knew it all.

Here is an article I saw last week at American Thinker thats very interesting about Sestak’s beholdance to…. The Clintons’s. It explains why the Hillbilly Huckster is involved.

In February, Sestak tells a reporter the White House offered him a job to get out of the Senate race against Specter. Then last week he starts getting coy with other reporters when he gets asked for details, and now we get this third party “I was only exploring the possibilities” send up by ‘unbiased’ lawyers in the White House.

Now Sestak is saying no real offer of a job was made and agrees with the statements made by the White House.

I’m confused. Either Sestak was telling the truth in February, and has been told to go along with this ploy in order to save his life, or he was lying in February and by biting the hand that fed him and is now in deep shit with people who can have him killed.

Is there room for C: All of the above? Regardless, it’s started. The avalanche will fall. And I’ll venture “Slick Willie’s” involvement is corrupt country boy revenge. Don’t start a feud with them Arkansas Hillbillies. ;)

Yeah, cm. Nothing like pinning your spin on the word of a convicted perjurer. He’s gonna fuck ‘em.

But then it all depends on your definition of “a job,” doesn’t it?

The fact of the matter, whether this position was paid or not, is that the PUS and his staff thought it would be of some value to Sestak. Hence a bribe. If you believe the elements of the story they made the calculation that this stint on a Presidential commission would satisfy the overblown ego Sestak seems to possess.

The guy was a Vice-Admiral in the Navy, about the only thing to appease him would be an appointment to some big job like SECNAV(sorry to much NCIS). You don’t get that high up the food chain without some bigtime ambition. The guy was running for a Senate seat but the White House would advance the notion that he would give up that chance plus his house seat, which he would have had to have given up, for an unpaid advisory position. Pull the other one now.

As per the article I cited Sestak got his seat originally by some sleazy means and dubious machinations by both the DOJ and the FBI.

Then there was this from Byron York in the Washington Examiner:

The White House says chief of staff Rahm Emanuel did not make the offer to Sestak, as was widely assumed. Instead, Emanuel asked former President Bill Clinton to talk to Sestak. Clinton did, and Sestak declined the offer. (As it happens, Clinton visited the White House on Thursday, just as counsel’s office lawyers were preparing the Sestak statement for release.)

The story that the White House would enlist such a high-ranking emissary — a former president is just about the highest-ranking you can get — to deliver such a meager offer strikes House Republican investigators as highly implausible. “The messenger is huge,” says one investigator, “and the message is puny.” If the White House took the trouble to involve an extremely busy former president, then the issue must have been a pretty high priority.

The operative passage was der slickmeister went there as the statement was being drafted. Since Clinton has no problem with perjuring himself he is the perfect foil. Quite framkly if there were nothing untoward going on PUS could’ve just said it outright instead of referring it to the White House counsel for parsing to create deniability and to avoid perjury

They chose Clinton because he is responsible for Sestak’s political career. No intelligent person thinks that the White house thought they could buy an egomanaic like Sestak off with such a BS offer.

In other stories, I have seen advanced the notion that Obama didn’t know that his minions were offering the opponent of one of his endorsees “emoluments” . This doesn’t even remotely register on the credibility meter. That “dummy” GWB was supposed be aware and be responsible for every act by the lowliest private on the night shift in Bahgdad but the all competent most omniscient man ever to grace the executive mansion doesn’t know nor is he held responsible for his closest advisors.

They have no credibility left. Everything they utter is a lie including the “and’s” and the “the’s”
