President Obama, the honorary chairman of the Boy Scouts of America, will not attend the scouting group’s 100th anniversary celebration Wednesday – opting instead to appear at fundraisers and on an ABC daytime talk show.
More than 43,000 Boy Scouts will celebrate the organization’s centennial Wednesday at Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia. Obama has sent a videotaped message to the scouts because he plans an appearance for “The View” that day.
I may but suppose that’s not the photo-op he was looking for, not the one that would show where he’s coming from. The one he IS looking for is that campaign appearance he never misses.
ABC noted Obama’s appearance on the show will be the “first time in history a sitting United States president has visited a daytime talk show.”
What matters? Must be that campaign, huh. I can’t think of things foul enough to say. Discuss this among yourselves.

He’s a man who understands the meaning of privilege, as he’s made the most of acquiring them during his presidency. The meaning of duty obviously escapes him, although the duty of addressing the BSA as chairman should properly be considered a privilege.
The Boy Scouts do not espouse the values that the Boy King exhibits.
After all Boy Scouts are supposed to thrifty, reverent and honest, Teh One is profligate, blasphemous and a bald faced liar.
Seriously though the 100th anniversary of an organisation that helps instill the values and virtues that we would want all young men to have is something that a real leader, who knows and believes in what America is all about, would have found a way to be at.
But as we all know, the Lightworker is not American is he.
What do we expect? As memory serves, the wannabe messiah, the hawaiian honky, couldn’t bother to attend the ceremony at Normandy last year either, becoming, I believe, the first president to flat out refuse to attend.
It speaks well of our boys in uniform that they display professionalism and honor whenever Obamamama is present. It would take everything I have to salute the pos. If I were a commander, I would be sorely tempted to have everyone about face and give THE ONE the proper respect and attention he deserves.
And what about the b-b-q in Chi-town, instead of the Tomb? I don’t wonder about this piece of shit at all. I know what he is. Maybe not exactly, maybe not all the details I’d like to know, but I know he’s just stone fucking wrong.
You know what burns me the most? The Jamboree is a seven-day event, planned out MONTHS in advance. Prez Obama will only be away for THREE of those days. Do the fucking math.
On the upside, however, I do know of many Boy Scouts that are attending, and they themselves are quite relieved he will not be there. Silver lining, and all that
It is as well that he not besmirch the centennial jamboree with his presence.
