Shame I haven’t been reading Bill Whittle as much lately.

07/29/2010

Because he really is an optimistic thinker. And an exceedingly good parable maker.

For example, this one about the Titanic, and the timing. The one good thing about BHO is his radical Marxism. Wait. WHAT? Yes.

It is going to be DECADES before we do not thoroughly vet someone ever again. WE know he’s what he is, and all of those parts. WE know he’s ineligible for a myriad of reasons. WE knew it in our guts before he even got elected, and we’ve got more hard proof now. He’s been the top gun salesman in history, don’t you know?

But, Bill Whittle has some even more positive words than I, being quite the gifted writer. For example:

I know there is a fair amount of dread out there right now. We’re ramping down one war, and ramping up another; the threat of total financial collapse seems actually possible; the moral decay and loss of decency in much of society is endemic and spreading… Good Lord, we’re seeing famine, pestilence and death… lions and lambs lying down together, plagues of frogs from the skies! – and no one seems to know exactly what is happening.

And a lot of people are starting to think that it’s hopeless. My friends, it’s not hopeless. It’s dire!  But it’s not hopeless. It’s never hopeless.

See! Positivity! Let me pull a few more things from him, to entice you to read the rest.

Let’s start at the top: with Barack Obama. Is he:

A. A Muslim-sympathizing, neo-Marxist true believer, who sees America and Capitalism as the principle barrier to fairness and world peace?

Or B, is he merely an empty suit, an unwitting pawn of much larger, hidden forces?

Or C,  simply a self-obsessed, incompetent narcissist who happened to be at the right place at the right time.

I’ve given this a lot of careful thought, and I think the real answer is yes.

That was cute, you must admit. But here lies the positive philosophy:

There’s hope because we are Americans. We’re different. Not genetically – although we are in fact the world’s mutts and that is an enormous strength. No, we are different, unique and exceptional culturally – because unlike the Babylonians, the Eqyptians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Mongols, the Turks, the Spanish, the French, The British and all the rest – we have actually done it. We have created the political tools to limit power and reward hard work, and we have lived with them for almost a quarter millennia. It is only by restoring and strengthening these trulyprogressive, but now-called conservative ideals that we can break the cycle of history.

So much more I could clip, but it’s that time. You all know how, despite how pissed off I might get, I’ve always said that the only thing that’s going to save us from what the government really seem to be doing to us (Domestic Enemies, anyone?) is the fact we ARE Americans. I might put an addendum to that, that this is the reason the government has been so dedicated to destroying the unity that we find as a nation. You know what I’m talking about. The racism, the class envy, ad infinitum. It’s intentional, and it will fail. Why?

This. Is. AMERICA!

Whittle’s “Afterburner”, along with “Trifecta”, are my two regular stops over at PJTV. (Klaven too, when he has a new post).

I also share Bill’s dream of manned space flight, but if you have wondered over to the new site, you probably know this already!

Hope springs eternal in the human breast, my friend. I always have hope. It never leaves me. Nor should you despair, because for every down, there is always an up. ;)
