Just keep your heads buried in the sand.

11/28/2010

That’s okay, nothing will happen. At least until that lion rips your ass off. You think they’re not here? We have to keep being right, they only have to be right once.

Mohamed Osman MOHAMUD, 19, was arrested by federal authorities last evening after he dialed a number on a cellular phone that was supposed to detonate a large bomb hidden in a van parked at a crowded annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland, Oregon. His intent was to kill as many people attending the ceremony as possible. Many of the attendees were young children and their families, packed into Pioneer Courthouse Square.

The “bomb,” however, did not detonate as the ingredients were inert, substituted for the real thing after the FBI learned of MOHAMUD’S murderous intentions. They successfully infiltrated the plot and derailed his plans well before the bomb could be constructed of real explosives.

Oh, but the R.O.P. has no real plans for hurting us, nooooo. They’re just harmless, misunderstood people who just want to worship in their own way! See, they say it themselves!

In July, MOHAMUD met with his accomplice, who was actually the FBI undercover agent, in Portland.  He told the agent that he had written articles that were published in “Jihad Recollections,” an Internet publication that promotes violence against all non-Muslims. He stated that he wanted to conduct a holy war against “infidels” since the age of 15, and selected the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square as his target of choice.

Really! They’re harmless! Don’t you understand? My gosh, how could we doubt them, eh?

But you know what makes this one all the better? You know why I almost wish it had worked?

From June 2005: Portland achieved the distinction to be the first municipality in the nation to pull out of the Justice Department’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). Some called it a “rejection of President Bush’s politics of fear,”ˇ while more rational people have called it just plain stupid.

I’ll go with stupid for $500, Alex. I am glad that it didn’t work, I’m very glad no one was hurt in this attempt. But if it had happened to anyone, they’re who it should have happened to.

UPDATE: Here’s another, much more in depth article. You might like this one even better!

He never had any real explosive material because the FBI and their undercover guys gave him a dud. How did he become radicalized in the US? Did he have adults encouraging him? Was he involved in a radical mosque? I think the background on this story will be very telling on how these kids are recruited.

True as that may be, it still happened. It doesn’t matter that he was third string end in Jr High, and never got laid. What matters is what he tried to do, and would have done had it not been for the FBI stopping him. It WILL help to find out where this came from, but in the end it is their religion which preaches death or enslavement to infidels. It is its continued existence. If there truly are dedicated believers in this goat fornicating pedophile that are moderate, let them control the “fundamentalists”. By the way, define that term. A “fundamentalist” is one who believes in the original writings and teachings of any given system. And these things have been at this for over a thousand years.

I’m not so sure he was capable of pulling off the plot. His lawyers will argue entrapment, and they may have a case if the FBI dropped the ball. I know there is an unindicted co-conspirator abroad but he may have had help here too.

I don’t think Muslims are evil because of their religion-just as I don’t think Mormons are evil because their founder was a polygamous. The context of time is an important consideration, and I expect like Christians, not all Muslims believe or follow everything in their holy book.

CM, I like that you post at night-I’m an insomniac :-(

Bummer. My posting at night is done when I’m reading the news, and it boils me up to where it can’t wait til I get home. The muslims don’t think they’re evil either. They think they’re doing their gods will.

and I expect like Christians, not all Muslims believe or follow everything in their holy book.

In the world of Islam, they are called heretics and they can be killed for their anomalous beliefs.

The fact is that Christianity and Islam have been divergent in their evolution for centuries. This can even be seen in the evolution of their scriptures. The old testament in Christianity can be take no prisoners harsh and is as much “history” as it is doctrine. The New Testament is much more conciliatory (although Jesus tacitly accepts the and disseminates the Torah widely). It is even more so under the writings of St Paul. The Torah and the Christian bible is a allegory written by many over the course of centuries. The Qu’ran is political doctrine and justification written by one man over about 10 years and is purported to be the literal word of Allah and gets more belligerent as Islam gained ground through lying and murder.

The Muslim “Old Testament”i.e the Meccan Suras(from what I know of it) are much milder the later Medinan Suras which are the parts that justify through their doctrine the reduction and enslavement(or murder) of the Dar al Harb in Favor of Dar al Islam. Any contradiction in doctrine is resolved in favor of the newer edict(although they may obfuscate this as they try and advance the thrall of Islam through the concepts of taqqiyah-dissembling- or Fitna which means “mischief”). Islam is more than just religious doctrine as it prescribes rules for every human endeavor from business to how many times you can hit your wife with a switch before it becomes sinful. It is the under girding for Shar’ia which is patently antithetical to freedom and free-will concepts openly embraced by current day Christianity. Lying to the infidel is de jure so you can never really be sure about the positions they take. Any lie that spreads Dar al Islam is required. Any murder can be justified if Islam gains ground. Those who interpret Islam(Qaradawi and the gang at Al-Azahr in Egypt) constantly find that the noise coming out of the terrorists is perfectly in consonance with the Qu’ran and shar’ia law.

No wonder the “any lie for the cause” leftist totalitarians have have embraced the cause of Islam; they are kindred spirits, they just disagree on which group of despots will reign supreme.

It is said that there may be moderate muslims but there is no moderate Islam. From Allah’s mouth to Mohammed’s ear the whole world must submit(the real translation of Islam, peace is salem)die or be diminished to into second class citizens. Any and all civil niceties that we consider for any law abiding citizens are explicitly reserved for those who adhere to Islam, from simply being told the truth to the zakat(the equivalent of tithing) which is to be used only for the benefit of muslims.

Our so called leaders have to stop with the PC BS. Islam is not here to be assimilated to assimilate us. They don’t want to be accommodated they want to be dominant. Our leaders try and blow smoke up our collective asses that this is just a small minority if that’s the case why haven’t the supposedly overwhelming majority spoken and acted in concert with us to eradicate this vicious minority. The fact is while they may not openly approve of the methods(how can we be sure, remember taqqiyah)they do support the goal.

But as to this pile of shit in Portland. Does it seem strange that Big Sis was justifying treating American citizens as guilty until proven innocent under the auspices of finding “home grown” radicals and then this shlub turns up? Sounds like another convenient event in order to further clamp down on the entire citizenry to me. As if the probability of being a terrorist is equally distributed throughout a heterogeneous population. Or am I being too cynical?

They know(or should)where the threat comes from. They know(or should) what the mind set of those who wish to cause us harm. They need to direct their attention to source of the problems; the actual tenets of Islam , those who practice, disseminate and apologize for it and the places it is inculcated.

    Yes.

Maybe so. but it’s not like this regime doesn’t give me ammuntion:

Disarming us through a combination of mendacity and superciliousness doesn’t exactly make me think they are particularly honest about anything. Especially when they are treating citizens like terrorists and terrorists like citizens.

Indeed, brother. This miserable camel fellator must be exposed to the public, and he must be gone.

    A little side piece here.

There was a fire bombing at a Mosque this little viper attended.

A member of the congregation said in an interview that; (my paraphrasing) “We had nothing to do with him. This (the firebombing) is a criminal act of religious intolerance”

Uh huh, those guys worshiped with him and studied with him. It’s b.s. that they knew nothing. It seems to me that the members of that Mosque are lucky that the firebombing was small and apparently not well executed.

To any Moslem reading this: He’s YOUR guy. He was living with you, he was studying with you, he was worshiping with you, he was living with you and he was carrying out the wishes of Islamic religious authorities. It’s too late to disclaim him, you are guilty of supporting and encouraging him, even if you didn’t know which particular acts he was planning. Step up and take some responsibility as if you really were men who believed in peace. Falsely using an intolerant political scheme as justification to kill in the name of G-d is particularly vile and evil. It’s also repugnant in the eyes of G-d if you really care what G-d thinks.

I have said before that I will live in peace with anyone who will live in peace with me. However, if you attack me, my friends, family or any other fellow citizens, if you encourage or help others to attack me, my friends, family or any other fellow citizens, then I and my friends, family and other fellow citizens will become your worst and most lethal nightmare.

    Make a choice.

If there really are moderates who follow the earlier teachings, not the later ones, then help us remove the “fanatics”. However, as with the New Testament, anyone who believes in those teachings believe that it is their duty to convert or kill any infidel. That being the case, if you are a “fundamentalist muslim” you are the enemy to freedom. Freedom will not be lost to a 7th century insanity.
