Thank You Note To A Rape Victim

Wait. Since we have already paid for these, shouldn’t we be able to just go pick one out and drive it away? Then I would own their product.

When I saw that a couple of days ago, I felt….well, as you said….kind of….raped! Damn sure insulted! Found it extremely offensive!
Hey Blake man, I hear ya.
That’s what I say too…WTF?
Problem is, they don’t have anything that I want.
While I would like a Camaro, or a ‘Vette, or that El Camino redeaux thingy, just on principle I would not buy one. Or a Charger, or a Challenger, or any of the Mopars.
Ford I’ll buy,
and you know why.
They buckled down,
re-organized a bit,
and did not suck
on the government tit.
And their stock values reflect that. Ford went up somewhere around 425% last I looked. Probably more by now, damn I shoulda bought me some of that.
I’ll add a real practical item in favor of Ford.
My old 1994, 4 cylinder, Ford Ranger is now over 209,000 miles and barely needs oil in between changes (it has a small leak from the rear main seal). It has never had the cylinder head off and repairs of any sort have been few and far between. It still has its original alternator, power steering pump and starter and I’m still on the second clutch. With the exception of one tie rod, the entire front end is all factory original as are all 4 shock absorbers. I just drove it 1,200 miles over the Thanks Giving weekend and it averaged 18 MPG while cruising at 65+ MPH. In terms of shear toughness, it’s the longest lasting car or truck I have ever had.
I’m working again and looking forward to acquiring a late model Ford Mustang sometime next spring. Any thoughts or recommendations?
My ’91 Explorer is still perking right along. She’s had a couple of hiccups, easy fix, never completely off the road, EVAH, since I’ve owned her. One new radiator, tune ups, 3,000 mile services, that’s it.
