Carl Sagan was Jesus
WHAT? As was Plato, Aristotle, Franklin, Edison, Einstein, Buddha, on and on. And they are from God.
Just got done watching Contact again, and this thought came into my head. There was a Creator back in the beginning. This Creator wants us to grow, and learn, and advance. And just who the fuck do we think we are to imagine we’re the only ones that were created? So every millenia/century/decade there comes a mind. A philosopher, an inventor, an observer of nature who can explain how shit works, and how we should take it and run with it.
As to the purpose of this post, initially I had so much shit bouncing around in my brain to explain what I meant that it would be a book too long to read. Rather than do that, I will simply plant the seed. These were sent to us to help us grow, and there are those who would hold us back. There is NO thing, there is no ONE, that can stop thought, that can stop philosophy, from growing and spreading. What is wrong with this/these ruler/s that they would hold back the thought train and the growth of humanity as a galactic race? Do we need yet to grow beyond our barbarism, or is that very barbarism manufactured to control us as a race?
Think about it.

No question, we’ve been put here to learn and grow.
I’d suggest that the barbarism is manufactured by “the other”. It/he has appeared throughout history is many guises, many of them are not obvious. There is an argument that the universe must have a counter balance to G-d, but I’m not ready to either attack or defend that idea.
Satan/AntiChrist/you-pick-it, is in the business of messing us up. Really makes me wonder about the Islamists and the current POTUS.
Question: What is the best way to to interfere with man listening to G-d? Answer: Distort the word of G-d so that it no longer directs us in righteous paths.
It’s only my 2 cents, but it does explain how the Taliban can commit acts of extreme cruelty and barbarity while celebrating that they are following the word of G-d.
Some (not all) of the most barbarous acts in history have been committed by people claiming to follow G-d’s will or believing that G-d was on their side. Good luck to us all.
Extremely well put. As I said, a seed of thought to grow in your mind.
