Maybe if I clarify this thought I may sleep.

02/26/2011

For those several posts I just put up, I DON’T FUCKING WANT A WAR IN THIS NATION AGAIN! We had 1776. We had 1812. We had The War Between The States in the 1860′s. We’ve had miscellaneous scuffles. We had the Indian Wars. I want us to not have to have war. But I will not see this nation’s freedoms destroyed. The Berlin Wall fell through fear of war. Please, God, let it be so that the threat precludes the event. Let us study the founding of this Constitutional Republic, let us return to life by it’s design.

But know this. There are many others who desire the same I do. And are willing to do anything in our power to retain/regain it.

Well, are you willing to turn the other cheek again and again until you screw yourself into the ground? Are you willing to give in a little each time, endlessly, so as to declare “peace in our time” like Chamberlain, until the next push, when the “reasonable” expectation will be that you will knuckle under to the latest absurdity?

I rather doubt it. Somewhere you have a line that can not be crossed. And when it is, what will your response be?

I say all this in innocence, hypothetically, because I have my browser set to not launch videos automatically … and your last couple posts contained 20 videos. Since I was just stopping by, I don’t have time to watch them all, but I caught the top one, and part of the other militia one after that. Then I watched the RWE video after that.

So ask yourself where the line must be, not just where you’d like it to be. No one is being killed, no one is being thrown in jail and silenced. That is a “must” line, but does not mean it is the only “must” line. Find yours.

As Vilmar says, on X date I went to bed a citizen and woke up an extremist. Count me in bro. Same-same. And I have more ammo than he does. But do you think it’s time for the militias? Kim dT would always talk about the 4 boxes. Seems to me we’re still using box 1 & 2; this past November at least gives the appearance that they still work. Every day Beck is on TV saying the same thing the Skipper did: keep talking and spread the word. All the lawsuits against Obamacare seem to be emblematic of box 3. It’s trying to work. Trying. O’s mini-minions, the union goons out in WI, are pushing, pushing into the realm of Gadaffi’s goons, but as far as I know the worst of it has been a couple bloody noses. I can tough that out if in the end they go down; I don’t see that as a reason to break the glass on the 4th box.

The million man protests across north africa have brought down tyrannies. Whether they get replace with other tyrannies is not guaranteed, but the fact remains that the power of the angry mob can not be overlooked. Are there mobs of millions in DC daily? No. We haven’t got to the point where that lesser line has been crossed. Don’t count out your countrymen. Even the government educated ones know right from wrong. Right? God, let it be so. Crap, now you’ve got me worried.

Agreed, Drew. I see the presence of the willing militia as still staying within boxes 1-3. It is a warning, same as letters, votes, or trials. The lid to box 4 has not been opened, just showing it’s there if all else fails. I don’t want it to happen, and its very presence may prevent its use. But it’s there if we need it.

Whether or not we get to box #4 is going to be a close run thing. Every day we see the chief magistrate of the country act in a more brazenly and obnoxiously lawless manner and as he holds the levers of enforcement it become ever more frustrating. As Sabotai quoted from of all people Newt Gingrich if we really lived in nation of laws Obama would be impeached. Of course(as Sabotai said in his post and I have said in several previous comments) finding 20 democrats with integrity and scruples to defenestrate this treasonously criminal conspiracy of an administration would be like finding a grain of gold dust in the sands of Shoddy Retardia.

Right now, in place like Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio, you are seeing a government revolt i.e. a revolt of the government bureaucracy against it’s rightful masters- the taxpayer. They are not demonstrating to change the status quo but to further entrench it. That status quo being that the union should be able to choose the peoples representatives for them and impose the will of a virulent super minority upon the masses through clearly collusive agreements. Mark Steyn makes the case more eloquently than I .Go take a gander.

Keep in mind when they shout these names it’s not corporate fat cats they are disparaging- it’s us.

The longer the government demonstrates against us the shorter the fuse gets. As the mask slips that what those in “public service” have in mind is not in serving the public but dictating the condition of our servitude to their avarice. They have it in their heads that they should not have to reap the rewards of their chosen one nihilistic vision and that we should support them in the manner in which they have become accustomed. Keep in mind much of what Porkulus did was prop up government union pension funds and further in debt the federal fisc. Such a large scale swindle hasn’t been perpetrated since Alexander Hamilton convinced Jefferson to trade assumption of state debt by the Fed for 10 sq mile of malarial swamp land in Maryland currently known as Washington DC.

If the rudiments of the rule of law are not available to us then box #4 becomes ever more likely. If the mind set of those in law enforcement mirror the high handed attitude of their non uniformed brethren then the die may be cast.

Only a fool wishes an armed conflict but if forced by further provocations their may be no choice but to pick up arms to restore our birthright. I do not relish the thought.

You will find no argument from me to any of that. Which is why all the actions taken over firearms ownership in the last 3/4 of a century by the government. There is no “sporting purposes” restriction to the 2A. It was written by those who could foresee this behavior, and honestly wanted to be able to help prevent it.

Some, even then, having just gone through it, wanted the ability to assume the power over the people that the newly rejected King had had. Others recognized that that was precisely the reason we had just gone through it, and did want the people to retain the ability to reject that power assumption again in the future if need be.

We are almost at the stage of (not “actual”, but “perceived”) conflict that this country (and Western Civilization in general) was in during the Cold War. In this case, box #4 is directly analogous to the arms race, specifically MAD. To be sure we have the “right”, in fact I would argue we have the moral imperative to use “#4″, when and if all else can be reasonably expected to have failed.

However, once this is done I am willing to bet we will be in such dire straights (win or lose) as to at best be considered to be a “2nd tier nation”. Most likely we will be 3rd world level for some time afterward. On the bright side, should we “win”, the very real possibility exists we can successfully rebuild, and become the legitimate beacon of hope we once were, economically, and as a culture/society the rest of the world emulated.

All true. That is one of the biggest reasons I pray we get this done with the first three boxes, so that we not suffer that however temporary third world status. And that would not need happen if those in the right locations and positions would REMEMBER THEIR OATH.

But, as I said in the past, perhaps when you get to those highest of echelons you discover things we mere plebes are unaware of in the grand scheme of things.
