This morning’s delights.

What about Libya? And how tasty is your hypocrisy? But if it’s a Liberal, it’s a “peace keeping mission”.
I was going to hit this later, after some sleep. But when I woke up I had son up visiting during spring break, we had to get to the range to play, the cats wouldn’t leave me be to write, so why don’t I let this stand alone. Everything else was trivial in comparison anyway, and I cheated you out of my intended mornings post yesterday.

Biden just proves the point that opposition to what Bush was doing was less principled than it was political opportunism. No thought went into their position but raw political calculation. When the three week campaign to do in Saddam was full of glory these jackals all wanted a piece of the glory but when the operation hit a snag they all turned on their country for political advantage. The idea that morons like Biden didn’t know how dysfunctional our intelligence regime had become with political operatives and congressional meddling strains credulity. By all accounts the work product out of Langley (on Iraq) was at best ambiguous which makes war more likely as Bush erred on the side of taking out a psychotic mass murderer who was about to receive his “get out of jail free card” from the UN.
And now these same jackasses are in charge selling out both the American people and our allies to the god of multilateral action the UN.
Biden and most of the left are hypocrites of biblical proportions. In Biden’s case it is more political hackery than anything approaching a coherent world view or a fundamental principle as he lacks the intelligence or integrity for either. The rest of the left just despises America doing anything to promote it’s own best interests and because of it’s fundamental belief that America is an oppressor, history not withstanding, and that we are immoral if we do defend our interests.
I’m out of time. This computer is really giving me fits. I can’t even open a second window to link pertinent pertinent articles.
I will be back to actually address your point later.
Postus interruptus sucks.
Indeed it does, my friend. Nonetheless, extremely well said so far. Wait until you see todays!
But even Biden’s contention that deploying military forces and initiating military action without congressional consent and is an impeachable offense ill founded as the President has a wide latitude do just that.
Declaring war in the context of the constitution is a legal act that changes status of those upon who we declare war. This invokes certain duties and obligations upon the government. This article by Lee Casey and David Rivkin makes just this case:
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/263104/libyan-intervention-does-not-require-declaration-war-david-b-rivkin-jr
Believe me Rivkin and Casey aren’t left-wing moonbats as they have made many a case for our positions.
It is not a novel position on the right as John Yoo former deputy assistant attorney general in the Office of Legal Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice in the Bush Administration and the target of hysteria from the neo socialists for his legal opinions on enhanced interrogation holds basically the same position.
I will provide the link as well hopefully it is not subscriber privileged.

The disturbing part of this whole fiasco is Obama’s complete deference to a body that has no legal authority to do anything. The UN to paraphrase another Yoo article has become(actually it always has been) a shield for despots and thugs who thumb their nose at it’s resolutions and a legal trap for those countries that are self governing who accept this Utopian idea in good faith and finding that it was a one way street and they are granted none by the dictatorial regimes that actually dominate the place. It is the ultimate in world wide hypocrisy and is meant to devolve the world into the rule of the few. I was going to to say elite except that their ideas are so medieval and reactionary that they can’t possibly hold up to the scrutiny of being thought of exceptional in any way except possibly in their conceit and lust for power.
But what is even more disturbing than Obama’s voting present by using the UN as a fig leaf is that he is going to unilaterally impose protocol one of the Geneva convention on this nation without senate approval. For those who do not know what Protocol One entails it essentially extends the rights of legal combatants to irregular forces such as…oh.. I don’t know…Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Protocol one was one of the main destabilizing influences in central America in the ’80′sand is part of why FARC can’t be stamped out in Columbia today.

This is lawlessness of the highest order and if anyone is persecuted, and I mean persecuted, under this royal edict that would be an abuse of power worthy of impeachment and immediately. And this doesn’t even touch the separation of powers issues on congresses ability to regulate the armed forces i.e set the rules they have to abide by as Protocol One adherence most directly effects our boys on the ground. He has no authority to impose this upon the Unites States under any reading of the constitution and if he does it is a clear violation and an another impeachable offense.
How many will it take? How long will it yet be?
