There is a group in (IIRC) Illinois that is dedicated to the destruction of these things, they do crazy stuff like put on armor studded with nails and go waterskiing trying to impale them. Funny stuff.
If we could find something productive to do with them (make money off of them) I’ll bet we could wipe them out in short order. Unfortunately they are “trash” fish and they are extremely damaging to the good fishing habitats.
