#1. This is another of those “things you knew in the back of your head“.

To paraphrase President Dwight Eisenhower, the country is governed by a powerful and coordinated political-media complex, which is determined to maintain the status quo regardless of the wishes of the American people.

Their lust for power is so great and their greed so boundless that Washington, D.C. is willing to accept and protect an illegal and criminal President.

To retain their privileged positions, they are prepared to violate their oaths of office, illegally circumvent the Constitution, erode the rule of law and ignore their constituents.

#2. This one is a sort of continuation, a consideration of what to do about part 1. If not specifically “what to do”, a sound cry of “something MUST be done”.

The elephant in our nation’s political living room is the endemic corruption in Washington, D.C. All of the nation’s problems are ancillary, only symptoms of a cancer, which will eventually kill the United States.

The political-media complex has only contempt for ordinary Americans. And we deserve it because we have allowed corruption to become an acceptable component of the status quo.

Even “Beltway” conservatives count themselves among the ranks of the political-media complex in an attempt to subvert the Constitution.

I truly hope/pray that we make it to November of next year without resorting to what will be necessary in the event that fails. Many writers of much greater mind than I see what is happening, and can, and do, quote specific examples. These people are in better position than I, or are better trained in where to look and what to look for. I, when said specifics are linked, follow to verify. My gut tells me something is wrong, they do the biopsy and identify it.

Are we looking at the Founding Fathers of USA2? Was the Russian sociologist that said the USA would break up into 5-10-12 sub units within the next few years correct?

My head hurts.

I’m sure I’ve made my opinion* clear; but let’s see if I can state it concisely:

    1) Liberty is dead**, the U.S. Constitution is dead, America is dead.
    2) They cannot be revived, resuscitated, resurrected, or re-instituted; there is no going back.
    3) The only hope for a few free men to live free is secession and balkanization***.

    * By my “opinion”, I mean what I believe to be the most likely (by far) probability for the future; and a certitude if the 2012 elections go badly.
** By “liberty” I mean liberty in the sense understood by our Founders — i.e., the inalienable natural right of private property and its ancillaries “life” and “liberty”. By “dead”, I mean gone and unrecoverable under our current Federal Government.
*** As one might expect, secession and balkanization will come only after, during, or before inevitable war.

You don’t have to like this opinion … I don’t. I certainly don’t want it. But what I do want is to live free as America’s original citizens imagined living free. What I want is for future generations to live free, unbeholden to a distant and unresponsive centralized government, and NOT as “State-Slaves”. What I describe above is as objective an assessment as I am capable of. I’m not even advocating for secession or balkanization. It’s just that, objectively, I see it offering the greatest likelihood for some percentage of Americans to live free.

If anyone sees a more likely outcome, or a better way to achieve a good outcome, please share it.

Read “The Ashes” series. William W. Johnstone. SUSA! Alternatively, Tri-States Forever! I will admit, as a retired USAF Combat Arms Instructor/Technician, there was the occasional error in weapons operation. Not many, but on them I cringed. If that wasn’t your functional existence, as it was mine, you’d never know the difference. BEN RAINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He IS the man we need to lead us.

I haven’t read “From the Ashes”. I will.

I like the “Tri-States” concept. I need to find out more.

Also, the opinion I wrote above is only what I consider the most likely way to obtain a specific result (i.e. some percentage of Americans having liberty). I don’t think that obtaining that result is at all likely. Realistically, what I consider the most likely future for this country and its citizens is a further slide (at varying speeds) into tyranny and communism. In other words, I do not find it realistic at all to expect that ANY American will live under anything even remotely resembling the liberty our Founders imagined.

As for how long such a “slide” would take, I don’t know — but I can guess. My guess is between Five and Fifty years, depending.

I know what you’re saying. Unless we can defeat the tyranny with words and the vote, we will have to have 1776v2.0 without doubt. The thought about the country divided is entirely too possible, and then we once again have wars between the various factions of the states. Look again at the red/blue states map. Will that be the division? You might also look at the Agenda 21 map. Scarily similar, nicht wahr?

Stimmt, Herr Blake. It is so.

Any way you cut it, the future of this once great nation is going to be ugly. Very ugly in the short and medium term if things go well. Even uglier in the long term if things go poorly. Shit that no living American has ever experienced. Even the military (some of whom have seen the kind of happenings that will soon happen here) have had the luxury of knowing that their families were safe, and that — if they survived — they could go home to the life they knew.

So I’m an eternal pessimist and I imagine the worst. Still, the “worst” that I see being possible involves a lot of stuff that for the first 30 some odd years of my life (I’m 39 now) I never imagined it might involve.

Indeed, brother Sams, if it must happen, let it happen on our watch that our children not need do it.
