And we all know

09/27/2011

Exactly where Perry fucked up, don’t we? I’d vote for Cain in an eye blink. Good choice. NOT a politician by trade, a successful businessman. And as fucked up as our economy is, we need someone who knows how to fix a failing business! Still like a whole bunch of Ron Paul, but that apparently ain’t gonna happen.

Herman Cain has the advantage of not being /that politician; in the slickless sense. I like that he admits when he doesn’t know, and avoids the BS answer. Romney just wreaks insincerity, and Perry looks like he’s making side deals while on stage. I can’t wait for this to play out

    Rather,
I don’t know who you are; but, stay out of my head. I clicked the “comments” button and, lo and behold, my comment was already here.

I can still remember back before I became “politically aware”, in 1999, when a reporter gave then candidate George Bush a “pop quiz” on foreign affairs. It pissed me off mightily.

A President neither can, nor ought to, be omniscient. And he certainly shouldn’t pretend to be.

He should know, and be able to explain, his core ideological principles — then delegate. I think Herman Cain would make a great President, if he can continue to resist the urge to be what Washington “insiders” and the Leftist media want him to be.

Cain recently moved from third on my list of candidates up to my top, preferred, candidate slot. I hope he stays there.

Rather, I’ve checked your blog 5 pages back. You just made my blogroll! Outstanding site, I liked it a lot! Back on topic, that is precisely what I like about Hermanator. He’s NOT a slick politician, he’s got warts, but he IS a proven problem solver. So he was with “the fed” for a year. He left that once he had it figured out. Know thine enemy, and all that. :)

Sams, no shit, right? Got right to the meat of it! Gotta love that!

Cain is on my wait and see list. I like his fiscal stance, and his shoot from the heart/hip style. If (much like I would do if Palin tossed her hat in the ring) he fills his cabinate with folks who play not only to his strengths but shore up his weaknesses, and or does the same with his VP, than I would move him to the #1 spot.

Sadly, Bachmann appears to have too much of “teh crazy” in her (about a couple degrees shy of the level of a Ron Paul, but still…). She is spot on in the fiscal side of the house, a bit less so on other matters.

Newt is sounding great (Must be nice to have a great group of sound bite writers on hand. *grin*), but he still strikes me as a snake oil salesman is GOP clothing. Same goes for Romney (who comes across as far less likable).

Still kinda like Perry. But s it me, or is he starting to strike anyone else as being the Texas version of Blagoivich?

Yeah, I was liking Perry. Right up to that illegal alien support corps shit.

Dammit I was hoping Fred Karger was going to catch fire by now. ;-)

Actually that’s the only way he is going to get any attention…literally catch fire.

A gay republican??? Who woulda thought?lol.

I was astonished by the results of that poll.

Cain has made a big impression that I hope can sustain itself. He gives a fresh perspective and a no nonsense approach. He still needs to study up a little on foreign policy and get a basic grasp of the state of the world as it stands but it is not an insuperable obstacle.

  8. 09/27/2011 15:06

Would it not be some wierd shit if this dude that I’ve never even heard of until today came out (sorry for the double entendre) of nowhere and took it?

    Still and all, Cain/Bolton!

I hadn’t heard of him either until I saw that poll.(stop giggling)

I had to google him to find out who he was(I saw that smirk)

But seriously Cain/Bolton is a great combination. Many may want Bolton as Secretary of State but you remember the last time he had to be senate approved. Two squishy republicans derailed his appointment(stop it I said squishy not swishy)

This way we get his foreign policy expertise without having to deal with the sob sister, new world order types who believe in the morally and intellectually vacant premises of cultural relativism and the efficacy of multilateral clusterfucks such as the UN.

He is the perfect compliment to the Hermanators straight forward approach to growth. A straight forward approach to a dangerous world with a good possibility that we will finally have something a kin to an international shit list. You denounce us we cut you off. No debate just economic and political pariah status.

Cain/Bolton, I love it. Each strong where the other is weak. (tho, I did think that Bolton was wrong on Libya as he favored supporting “the rebels”)

I don’t demand perfection from a candidate, nor complete agreement with me on all things — in fact it would be a good thing, since what I don’t know could fill the Library of Congress (……… oh wait, … what I don’t know DOES fill the Library of Congress). But intelligence, certitude on conservative principles, and some adaptability (but not malleability) is what I’m looking for. Aside from a few issues, candidates are free to fuck up …. so long as they don’t fuck up constantly.

Newt (and Huntsman) entered the race already on the wrong side of one of my “key” issues — Global Warming. Perry’s made his stance on one of my other “keys”, illegal immigration, perfectly clear the other night. It’s almost a shame, he seemed an otherwise solid candidate.

Meanwhile Michelle’s screw-ups have been limited (tho the unsubstantiated Gardisil claims was a close one), and Cain’s have been minimal (as far as I know).

  11. 09/27/2011 21:21

    Love it.

samsapeel1, I think Cain does have integrity but in truth, you don’t make your road into the White House without promising to hand out candy when those trickers come calling. Is he to good to be true? A man who is sincere in looking out for the peoples’ interest? Call me Al Capone because he may be my Lustig. Sam, sorry about transporting myself into your head but I’m a girl, and I was looking for closet space ;-)

cmblake6, you liked my blog? I’m in the 100 hundred top shit-disturbers club; I must be doing something wrong ;-(

I know we are not running in the same direction but drink my words with a scotch and you will scream less.

Hell, I’ve never heard of Fred Karger but I don’t care that he’s gay, just his stupid remarks are a turn-off

    BTW, I love hate comments

  13. 09/28/2011 07:53

Yes I did quite like your blog. Found myself smiling at your comments more than once, put you on my blogroll for S&G. Cain seems a good man, with experience we need. Served on the Fed? Didn’t stay there for a very long time. If he’d been into it, I’m sure they would have kept him or he’d have volunteered to stay. The LSM is going to use ANYTHING that can be twisted to make one of OUR candidates look bad. Pay attention to who they attack the most, that’s the one to vote for.
