Oh, yes indeed it does! Joyous Samhain folks, Blessed Be! Pretty much an example of how the Christian church took Pagan ritual and somehow attached it to Christianity to attract the Pagans.

Pretty much what they did for every holiday. How else would a guy born in late Spring/early Summer get his birthday celebrated at the end of December (Winter Solstice)?
Or Easter Resurrection, which is about when He WOULD have been born, give or take. Planting time. *SIGH*
