    That’s because it doesn’t work. A safety net does nothing but break your fall. What we need is a trampoline so we can propel ourselves upwards.

    Actually what they are assuming is that the Keynesian money multiplier effect is true and that the so called velocity of money is somehow increased through the system because you are needy.

    This is a fallacy

    The fact of the matter with fractional reserve banking the only money not invested or spent is the money currently in your wallet. The only thing that changes is the priorities the money is spent on. If nothing of value is produced to receive the money, one link in the chain of the Keynesian scheme is busted and the whole thing falls apart and tends to become a net drag.

    As you may have heard recently the basket of goods one can receive from the government exceeds the amount of median net take home pay. Even if it were slightly less it is disincentive to work as people ask the really poignant question, “Why should I work and pay taxes when my tax dollars are taken from me to provide others with a lifestyle I have to work for?

    Keep in mind Obama and the NDSWP love the poor…that’s why they are trying to make as many people poor as they can.

    Exactly, proven time and again. But they keep trying. And failing.

    The reason? Human nature. Or should that have been “The reason.“
