I wonder if the MSM is going to find highlight every Romney “supporter” who has some sort dubious episode in his past. Oh… look… see everyone who is against Obama is a a scary freak homophobe raaaaacist! You don’t wanna be lumped in with scary freak homophobe raaaacists do you?
As I recall the incident had to do with a story he told about how much a freak show it was riding on the subway in NYC and that NYC wasn’t much better than a third world country in an interview he gave to Sports Illustrated. The most memorable quote being:
I believe there was also the reference to a teammate as a little monkey a la Howard Cosell(“Look at that little monkey run” describing a Gerald Willhite run; the incident that finally got that fat mouth fired)
Of course up to that point the fans in NYC had really ingratiated themselves.
Quotes are from this article which states that Andrew Young(yeah former Atlanta mayor and anti American envoy to the UN representing the Carter administration) went to bat for him and tried to rehabilitate his reputation.
I remember Rocker as a player for Atlanta with 95+ fastball and a tight slider with just enough wildness to make you uncomfortable. I also seem to remember him as a loud mouth anyway. The kind of guy his opposition love to hate.Enough baseball.
Of course this tactic will ignore the actual freak show, anti-American, communist, racist and in some cases terrorist supporter of the faux Messiah.The funny part is they had have to go to such great lengths to find these people who are merely supporters meanwhile the communists and terrorists in the Presidents circle of people he actually deals and is dealing with go uncommented upon by the “watch dog” press.
Oh and speaking of the faux Messiah. Listening to el Rushbo yesterday a lot of the blather in support of Obama is now centered on a line like this. Sure the economy’s rough but he can’t do anything about China, the Euro, gas prices, et. al. That’s a funny way to promote a candidate by declaring he is weak and helpless;a victim of circumstance; a captive of events; a piece of flotsam on the raging sea. Yeah let’s have four more years of feckless incompetence by a man whose campaign and sychophants has just admitted he doesn’t have what it takes to do the job. That he is a follower not a leader.
This is way off topic but it is a rather pungent incite on last weeks employment numbers. Rush Mentioned this in passing yesterday.
Apparently Hope and Change is increasingly turning us into a nation of part time employees.
This fits in with this analysis of the quality deterioration of new jobs being created as opposed to those that have been destroyed by liberal tax and regulatory policy. Many well paying jobs move overseas because the cost per unit of production(which is more than just wages), and a different measure than the wages of individual employees,has become prohibitively high and because of new environmental regulation and the impending implementation of Obamacare it is being driven even higher.

This can, possibly, help Newt also. Ron Paul is talking about a brokered convention which NEWT could very well be there.
The positive is….Romney “can”(?)be removed due to the way he got into the position to be “shoved down our throats” BEING A DONE DEAL…when the Convention hasn’t happened yet. What arrogance!

Romney came out in support of the Muslims in Our Country– with a PLAN for” Islamist Owned Charter Schools”! Again! We should be expecting them to assimilate into OUR Country NOT make Our Country Over for Them!

Which is another reason why I don’t want him to be our candidate.
Now I do sound like a conspiracy nut; HOWEVER, the financial condition we are in CAN be fixed. Having Muslims overtake our country and STOPPING IT IS THE most important issue to me.
Newt was/is the ONLY person who was very strong on this issue.
Why in the world is everyone worried about hurting the poor little Muslims’ feelings?
