CryandHowl sent me the video of the first 5 minutes of this.

12/18/2012

Here’s the rest. There is actually a bit more, but this got the next 4 minutes regarding the why of the 2A.

Then we go to this other 2A vid.

Another “how many times will I post this” video. And worth it every single time. Indicative of our near future? You know, I heard a rumor today. At the gun SHOP, from the staff AT the shop, that a regular old AR-15 is going to fall under the list for sale as a Class 3 weapon. Not the selective fire version, the regular semiauto AR. Time to use the ones in hand at home? I hope not.

    What should be done is “background checks”. There really are people who should NOT own guns: IF I decided to buy a gun here in Texas, that I know of (unless recently), there are no background checks.
    1) Those with a history of severe mental illness (including paranoia, Bi-Polar, Anger Management Issues);
    2) Those who have been tried and convicted of malicious felonies .
    3) Those who have been caught selling, dispensing illegal drugs.

    This is a much better version of the Battle of Athens than the one I have.
    Thank you!

    If we fight this with logic, we will use. The liberals will scream an howl until no one can hear anything else.

    We must find an equally emotional issue to use as a response. I know that’s a near impossibility, but consider that when I was a kid growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, any number of semi automatic “assault rifles” were available. It’s a long list including the civilian version of the M14, the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, AR15, Johnson Automatic Rifle, B.A.R., various types and copies of semi auto Tommy guns and many more.

    There were no mass shootings in schools or anywhere else.

    Following the agenda of the Liberals, instead of creating a safer, happier society, we have created a paranoid and divided society where mass killings are now happening on a regular basis. We must put the blame for this where it honestly belongs; the failed polices of Liberals.

    The blame must be placed specifically and loudly. We must have the courage of our convictions and stand against the social rot that has accompanied Liberal policies from never ending welfare to bogus school reform.

    We do all of that now, Dr. Jeff. We write about it and post it, we share on other blogs, we sneak into their own turf and leave gems on their own ground. We call in to national radio shows with audiences in the millions, to include the ones who are there to try to catch us out. It is very slow, and we will never change the hard core, but we sway the middle. We can only pray it isn’t TOO slowly.

    You are most welcome. I’m just glad I found it again.

    Yet again, no argument from me on this.

    We are well and truly screwed. This time it looks as if even the NRA is going to sell us out. Yahoo news has this article;

    http://news.yahoo.com/congressional-backing-grows-gun-control-debate-220341844–politics.html

    What Yahoo doesn’t include is this quote from the NRA that I found in the Daily Mail;

    “The National Rifle Association, meanwhile, which had been unusually silence following Friday’s shootings issued a statement Tuesday which offered it condolences to the families of the victims and announced that it would be making a ‘meaningful’ announcement on Friday to ‘make sure this never happens again.'”

    Here’s the Daily Mail article;

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2250157/Obama-WILL-tough-new-gun-laws-President-says-supports-ban-assault-rifles-NRA-breaks-silence-Sandy-Hook-school-massacre.html

    We’re looking at the most massive and aggressive anti gun movement of the last 50 years.

    Ronald Reagan: We must reject the idea that every time a law is broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

    If a child runs out into the street and gets run over by a truck, are they going to ban all trucks?

  10. 12/19/2012 10:14

    Precisely. Thing is, I’ve never seen squad movement tactics based on removing tyrannical governments with trucks. Other than transporting armed personnel to a predesignated launch point.

  11. 12/19/2012 10:14

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Isn’t it amazing that plan ol’ common sense now thrills us!!!

    I’ve pointed out to anti gun people that cars (trucks) kill more people than guns. The resp[onse has always been that cars are more useful. That’s an emotional value judgement, but from the anti point of view, it negates an inconvenient fact.

    More interesting and perhaps more useful is the rate of death from “medical misadventures” (great euphemism) far exceeds gun deaths. It can be argued that doctors save many more lives than they take because they messed up, but we generally hold the doctors harmless when their mistakes kill people.

    Think about that. Doctor’s mistakes kill more people than guns by a huge margin. No one does anything about it. The subject is rarely talked about.

    Reality, what a concept.

    He is working very hard to get the liberals, the blacks, and now China to speak out against our guns.

    Divide and conquer, the Left’s favorite tactic.

    I heard Bill Whittle speak live some months ago. He pointed out that Conservatives tended to think in terms of The People, meaning ALL U.S. citizens, while Liberals saw our society in terms of gender, class and race.

    I like the idea of E Pluribus Unum. One of the key reasons that the U.S. became the richest and most powerful country in history is that we are the junkyard dogs of the planet. We incorporate everyone from everywhere.

    Personally, I’m proud to be a mutt.

  16. 12/19/2012 11:56

    Indeed Jeff, agreed.

  17. 12/19/2012 11:59

    Which is why no interference in our sovereignty is so vital.
