Just over at SG,

And there is this really interesting article about doing something along the line of that firearms manufacturer boycott of the idiot states, but with fuel. One of the things mentioned were the fuel producing states, so I thought just maybe I should post up those maps again:

Hmmm, if you are blue no fuel for you. If you are red you can go right ahead. OR, reversing the colors sometimes shows a bit better.

If you look at the quantity difference in the colors of the districts, I’m just incredibly baffled that we have the government that we do!

The map for Arizona is deceptive. One of the largest coal mines in the country is located on the Navajo/Hopi reservation in the hugely Democrat/communist/Fascist NE Arizona.

Can anybody tell me how these people can really not see how that does not work in the long run?

    CM, read “Atlas Shrugged.”

Once you do, you will understand that those presently in authority do not care about the long run. They don’t even care about the next 4 years. They adhere to their ideology first and foremost, and if reality contradicts their ideology, then reality is wrong.

Insane? Indeed, but that IS the nature of the opposition.

Oh, I have read Atlas Shrugged. One of my favorite philosophers, Ayn Rand. Without doubt. And I see this government through her eyes.

Isn’t there a movie coming out about Ayn Rand?

I believe there may be another coming. There was “The Fountainhead” many moons ago, I already have parts I & II of “Atlas Shrugged” (fantastic, btw. You can pick them up at your local video store), part III has the go ahead and will be released in 2014. I had heard rumors of there actually being one that was a biography type film of she herself. I would imagine it would be much like making “We The Living” into a film.

I would like to see that…”We The Living.” Actually, I would also like to see “The Fountainhead” also.

I think “The Fountainhead” was released somewhere back in the early ’60s, with Gary Cooper. I seem to remember that it’s on Netflix, but I haven’t looked in a while.
