Got dragged into a Facebook visit

07/17/2013

And one of my FB friends, a George Wilson, had posted this up on our “group” page:

WHILE YOU WERE FIGHTING AND DISTRACTED BY THE ZIMMERMAN CASE, OUR RIGHTS WERE ALMOST ABOLISHED – TIME TO WAKE UP!

Traitors (46 of them) Over the weekend, we came four votes away from the United States Senate giving our Constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The Statement of Purpose from the billread: To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. , and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo. Astonishingly, 46 of our United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power. Here are the 46 senators that voted to give your rights to the U.N.

This needs to go viral. These Senators voted to let the UN take our guns. They need to lose the next election. We have been betrayed. 46 Senators Voted to Give your 2nd Amendment Constitutional Rights to the U.N.

P.S. For whatever it is worth: please take note that all but two of these Senators were Democrats – those two were Independents.

Told you before, whenever this regime raises a bunch of stink about anything, ANYTHING, start looking for what they’re trying to hide.

Proof incompetence can reach the highest levels……They are pushing things right back to us, ultimately. And the true power should reside with the citizens, not the leaders…
    Thanks for posting this….

Treaties need 67 votes to be approved.

And even if they did get the 67 vote it cannot overrule, the clear language of the 2nd amendment.

Addressing the scope and limits of the Constitution’s treaty power, James Madison — often described as the father of the Constitution — said the following:

I do not conceive that power is given to the President and the Senate to dismember the empire, or alienate any great, essential right. I do not think the whole legislative authority have this power. The exercise of the power must be consistent with the object of the delegation.

Thomas Jefferson emphatically agreed with Madison’s depiction of the limits placed upon the treaty power. If the treaty-making power is “boundless,” warned Jefferson, “then we have no Constitution.” On another occasion, Jefferson elaborated:

By the general power to make treaties, the Constitution must have intended to comprehend only those objects which are usually regulated by treaty, and cannot be otherwise regulated…. It must have meant to except out of those the rights reserved to the states; for surely the President and Senate cannot do by treaty what the whole government is interdicted from doing in any way. [Emphasis added.]

Alexander Hamilton was in perfect agreement with both Madison and Jefferson. “The only constitutional exception to the power of making treaties is, that it shall not change the Constitution…. On natural principles, a treaty, which should manifestly betray or sacrifice primary interests of the state, would be null.” (Emphasis added.)

Yes, I know it is the Obama regime and the they wipe their ass with the constitution. But they could not lawfully enact that treaty on a majority vote.

I had to thank God in some way, for my life, here is my tribute.

    The Gift of Gifts

In the name of Jesus Christ the most gifted gift
Our Lord God Almighty gave too His creations
All that is known and unknown His path to Him

This simple man a simple truth God’s own word
Delivered by the virgin of virgins His companion
Bearer of His word Mary our Savoir Jesus Christ

No greater love, pain or penalty given freely to all
Honor God’s gifts till the end of time our last breath
God loves you, so take no life, no gift away from Him.

  16. 07/19/2013 06:50

    Amen!
