Amazing. Two comedians seriously honoring Boston

Lady Raven sent me the online magazine article with the clips and videos from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert’s shows about Boston. For all the times these guys have slammed our nation, these were good. These were actually good. I don’t know so much about the “slammed our nation”, exactly, so much as propounded a more leftist view. But these were good.

The way our politics are supposed to work is that various viewpoints of certain subjects are to be discussed, weighed, and a compromise or agreement reached. We don’t have a king, we have an elected head of state for 4-8 years. He or she (eventually) make the final approval or denial. They do NOT rule as a king with Executive Orders. The idea behind Executive Orders was if we were at war, and there was a decision that had to be made NOW. It was then to be reviewed by Congress or SCOTUS and deleted or made permanent through proper channels. NOT A KING’S DECREE!

Politics are for the election of our representatives in whichever house of whichever branch. Once these people are in place, they are supposed to quit politicking and do their damn job. It should be obvious that if they’ve done well they will be re-elected, if not they are replaced.

This attack is not American politics, this is World War. We’re not in campaign season, we have been attacked. This must be dealt with, not used as a political tool. And, in this case at least, these guys spoke well.

That was the Colbert I had up that had been deleted from Youtube. I normally don’t watch either of those guys, but these really were good. As for the rest of it, this was to show that we may disagree in our political stances, but when we are attacked we’re family.
