Very heavy voter turn out in Los Angeles. At least around here, the Dems get out the vote campaign worked. If it worked in the rest of the country, we’re in trouble.

Let’s hope the R’s did too.

We’re screwed. Pelosi will dig out her ridiculous oversized clown cave and wave it like it’s extra important. Then she’s going to spend the next two years fucking up Trump while blaming the fuckups on Trump.

Gavin Newsom is almost the worst possible governor we could have. His platform is whatever appeals to his base – more anti gun laws, gay, transgender, sanctuary for illegal aliens, you pick it. If it hurts California and the U.S., he’s for it.

    It’s gonna be bad.

Just to prove California has lost its mind, some of the ballot initiatives that passed will increase gasoline taxes and property taxes on older homeowners.

Oh yeah, wait until you get a load of Gavin Newsom as our new Governor. He’s a lot like Jerry Brown, but with less ethics.

And why do you think they try so hard to disarm you?

Just remember, there are over 61,000 sealed indictments. It’s coming.

Certainly something to pay attention to.

There are multiple issues here that all interact. The first is the question of who makes the judgement that anyone’s guns should be confiscated and what is that based on? In a best case, it’s a nice idea with dangerous Constitutional implications. In a worst case it’s a potential nightmare for all of us, including ultimately the gun control advocates.

I keep thinking that when they have achieved a government controlled society, some of them will realize too late that what they have really achieved will be 1984. That book will probably have been banned by then, but I digress.

The part that immediately bothers me is that the report says that when the police told Willis about the order to pick up his gun(s), he immediately grabbed a gun as if to attack the police.

That isn’t entirely clear because one part of the report says he answered the door armed with a gun and another says he went to grab a gun. That does not make sense. That he either had a gun or went for a gun are mutually exclusive actions. It’s possible that he had his gun in a holster, which could account for both descriptions, but again, this is not clear.

That discrepancy alone, could invalidate the entire police report.

In either case, it is claimed that he reacted violently to the police.

If that is true, it would bear out the correctness of the order confiscating his weapons. Under ordinary circumstances, a rational man does not threaten police with a weapon. On the other side, in recent years many officers have gotten a reputation for being violent and trigger happy.

Too many loose ends for comfort.

btw – Hi Neil, pleased to meet you. I’m Doc and as a gun collector living in Los Angeles, I’m very sensitive to changes in firearms laws. California legislators have seriously earned their reputation for being anti gun. I’m hoping that with Gorsuch and Kavanugh on the Supreme Court, we may finally have some rational decisions on firearms laws.

We have one case regarding magazine capacity that is making its way through the courts. This is Judge Benitez’s (may God bless him twice) injunction against the State of California. Sixty six pages of rational analysis and well worth the time to read.

With SCOTUS in the correct hands, The Constitution will be restored.
